Is this the right guide?

Devices this guide covers

A phone or tablet is the quickest place to check that your Fox IPTV details work: the keyboard makes entering a long playlist link easy, and you can watch in any room with good Wi-Fi. Remember that a phone playing at the same time as the TV uses a second connection.

1 Install a player 2 Add Fox details 3 First load 4 Quick check

Pick your platform

Choose iPhone and iPad, or Android phone and tablet.

Setup route

iPhone and iPad

  1. 1

    Search the App Store

Search for an IPTV player and check that the listing mentions playlist (M3U) or account login support.

  2. 2

    Install and open the player

Allow only the permissions the player actually needs; an IPTV player does not normally need your contacts or location.

  3. 3

    Paste your Fox IPTV details

Choose the login type that matches your email, paste each value and save.

  4. 4

Play a channel on the device

Wait for the channel list, then play a channel directly on the iPhone or iPad before trying anything else.

  5. 5

Try AirPlay if you want to use the TV

If both the player and your TV or Apple TV support AirPlay, tap the AirPlay icon while a channel plays. Not every player allows it.

Setup route

Android phone and tablet

  1. 1

    Search Google Play

Find an IPTV player that supports playlists or account logins and check the developer name.

  2. 2

    Install and open the player

Decline permissions that are not needed for video playback.

  3. 3

    Paste your Fox IPTV details

Choose playlist or account login to match your email, paste each value and save.

  4. 4

Play a channel on the device

Let the channel list load, then play a channel directly on the phone or tablet.

  5. 5

    Try casting if supported

If the player shows a Cast icon and your TV supports Google Cast, tap it while a channel plays. Casting is optional and depends on the player.

After setup

Quick check on the device

Two or three minutes of checks now saves guesswork later. Do these before changing any player settings.

  1. 1

Play one channel on Wi-Fi for a minute and check picture and sound stay in step.

  2. 2

Lock the screen and unlock it again to see whether the player resumes.

  3. 3

If you cast to a TV, stop casting from the player when you finish so the connection is released.

If something goes wrong

Phone and tablet problems and fixes

Find the message or symptom you see. If a fix does not help, contact support with your device model, player name and the exact wording on screen.

“Login failed” after pasting

Check nothing extra was copied, such as a full stop or a space at the end of the address.

Channels load but will not play

Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi, restart the app and try another channel.

High mobile data use

Watch on Wi-Fi where possible and use the player’s quality setting if it has one. Live video uses a lot of data.

Casting button is missing

Casting depends on the player, phone and TV supporting the same technology. Play on the phone or use the TV guide instead.

Sound keeps playing after closing the app

Stop the channel inside the player before switching apps, then close the player from the app switcher.

The app crashes on large channel lists

Update the app, restart the device and make sure there is free storage. Tablets often handle large lists better than older phones.

Questions about this device

Can I test my login on the phone before setting up the TV?

Yes, and it is a good idea. If the details work on the phone, the same details will work on your TV player.

Does watching on the phone use a connection?

Yes. Any device that is playing a channel counts toward your connection limit while it plays.
